Same story, slightly bleaker
Lucid Group didn’t exactly get a love letter from CFRA. The firm kept its Hold rating on LCID and left the price target at $10, but the bigger headline was the scribbling in the margin: 2026 EPS got pushed further into the red.
Why traders care
That’s not the kind of revision that gets the champagne flowing. A deeper loss forecast can make a growth story feel a little less like a runway and a little more like a treadmill. Sure, Lucid’s liquidity looks better, but if profitability keeps drifting out, investors are basically being asked to believe in the plot before the ending is written.
The short-interest wild card
CFRA also pointed to Lucid’s high short interest, which is finance-speak for “this stock can still get weird fast.” If sentiment turns, LCID can bounce around like a group chat after someone posts a spicy rumor. That can make it a trader’s playground, but it also means the stock can be brutally unforgiving when the mood sours.
Big picture
So yes, Lucid still has enough balance-sheet breathing room to stay in the fight. But with targets staying modest and losses looking fatter, the market is basically saying: show me the execution, not the vibes.
