Another day, another insider sale
SoundHound AI’s stock was up 1.9%, but the headline hiding underneath was a familiar one: insiders kept selling. The latest disclosed sale showed the chief operating officer offloading shares at an average price of $6.79 for roughly $359.7K.
Why investors care
Insider selling isn’t always a doom sign — people cash out for all kinds of boring personal reasons, from taxes to diversification. But when the company’s own leaders are trimming stakes, it can make outside investors wonder whether the easy money has already been made.
The bigger picture
The filing also noted that the senior vice president sold shares and that insiders have dumped a combined 307,973 shares worth about $2.09M over the last three months. That doesn’t automatically change the story on SoundHound, but it does add a little “hmm” to the bull case.
Big picture: the market may still be cheering the stock, but insiders appear to be quietly heading for the exit — at least with part of their position.
