Another AI power couple
Broadcom and Meta are apparently not done flirting with the AI megaproject. The two are deepening their infrastructure alliance, with the kind of “multi-gigawatt” ambitions that basically scream: we are spending an absurd amount of money on AI, and we want the plumbing to keep up.
For Broadcom, this is the good stuff. The company has turned itself into a key picks-and-shovels play for the AI boom, especially when hyperscalers want custom chips and networking gear instead of off-the-shelf everything.
Why you should care
If Meta keeps leaning harder into custom AI infrastructure, Broadcom stands to benefit from more demand for the specialized hardware that powers those systems. That can be a nice tailwind for revenue visibility, even if the market is still trying to figure out how many AI dollars eventually become AI profits.
The bigger picture
This is what the AI arms race looks like now: not just flashy chatbot demos, but massive behind-the-scenes buildouts that eat power, chips, and capital like a teenager at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Broadcom wants a seat at that table.
Big picture: the more Meta spends on AI infrastructure, the more Broadcom gets to play vendor to the future.
