Another bite of the Bitcoin apple
LQWD Technologies is back in the market buying Bitcoin for its treasury, scooping up 9.5 BTC at an average price of about $77,653 each. That puts the total tab at roughly $737,708 — not exactly couch-cushion money.
Why this matters
This kind of move tells you two things:
- LQWD is still leaning hard into Bitcoin as a balance-sheet asset.
- The company now holds about 262 BTC, which means its equity story is increasingly tied to crypto price swings.
That’s great if Bitcoin keeps acting like Bitcoin-in-a-good-mood. It’s less fun if the price decides to do its usual impression of a roller coaster after too much coffee.
Big picture
For investors, the key question isn’t just how many coins LQWD owns. It’s whether the market rewards that treasury strategy with a premium — or decides the stock should trade more like a leveraged Bitcoin proxy than a standalone operating business.
Big picture: when your treasury starts looking like a crypto fund, your stock can start behaving like one too.
