Another target cut, same old bullish shrug
ServiceNow is getting the annoying-but-not-catastrophic treatment from Wall Street: Citi trimmed its price target to $177, but didn’t exactly hit the panic button on the stock itself. That means the bank is still broadly constructive, just less enthusiastic about how much upside is left.
Why investors should care
When analysts cut targets without flipping bearish, it usually means one of two things:
- the business still looks solid, but expectations got too spicy
- the stock’s rally has already done a lot of the heavy lifting
In ServiceNow’s case, that matters because the company sits in the middle of the AI-workflow gold rush. If the market is paying a premium for every whiff of automation and enterprise AI, even a small reset from a big bank can make traders re-check their math.
The vibe check
This news lands on top of a wave of similar calls, which is basically Wall Street’s version of everyone arriving to the same party with slightly less expensive champagne. That doesn’t mean the thesis is broken. It does mean the easy-money phase may be over.
Big picture: ServiceNow may still be the workflow beast everyone wants to own, but the market is becoming less willing to pay unlimited vibes for it.
