New boss, same mission
Plus Therapeutics just added Randy H. Goodman, PhD, MHA, as its Vice President of Value Strategy & HEOR — which is a fancy way of saying the company hired someone who knows how to talk to payers, price a therapy, and navigate the maze between promising science and actual reimbursement.
Why this matters
For a biotech, launch plans can get derailed if insurers and health systems don’t buy into the value story. Goodman’s background in payer strategy, value-based pricing, and health policy suggests Plus wants to make it easier for CNSide adoption and keep the long-term commercialization path for REYOBIQ™ from turning into a paperwork Olympics.
The investor angle
This isn’t a revenue pop or a clinical data bombshell. It’s an execution move — the kind that can quietly matter if the company is trying to turn a promising product into something that can scale beyond conference slides and hopeful press releases.
If Plus can improve market access, that can help de-risk future commercialization. If it can’t, even good science can end up stuck in reimbursement limbo. Big picture: in biotech, the science gets the headlines, but the payer strategy often decides whether the party actually starts.
