Another analyst, another thumbs-up
Freeport-McMoRan got a fresh boost from Deutsche Bank, which raised its price target to $72 from $58 while leaving the stock at Buy. In analyst-land, that’s basically the equivalent of someone saying, “I said I liked the place before, but now I’m also willing to pay more for the appetizer.”
Why this matters
FCX lives in the copper sweet spot, and copper is still the metal behind the whole electrified-everything story — grid upgrades, data centers, EVs, you name it. A higher target doesn’t change the business overnight, but it can keep the bullish narrative humming and give traders another reason to lean into the name.
The analyst parade continues
Deutsche Bank isn’t exactly waving a lone foam finger here. Freeport has been picking up a string of positive or at least supportive analyst takes lately, which helps keep sentiment frothy even when the stock is doing its usual commodity-stock mood swings.
Big picture
This is less “new chapter” and more “another loud nod from the peanut gallery.” Still, when copper demand is the story and analysts keep raising the ceiling, you don’t want to ignore the crowd — especially if you’re already holding FCX or eyeing it for the next shiny macro trade.
