Murcia gets the nod
SEALSQ’s Quantix unit has picked the Municipality of Murcia as the home base for its semiconductor industrial project. In other words: the company has stopped window shopping and picked a place to actually build the thing.
Why investors should care
For chip projects, location isn’t just a pin on a map. It can mean access to infrastructure, permits, local support, labor, and how quickly the project can go from “cool idea” to “okay, where’s the factory?”.
The boring part that matters
This doesn’t sound flashy, but it’s the kind of update that tells you a project is still alive and moving:
- the company is advancing site selection
- local authorities are in the mix
- the industrial plan is getting more concrete
Big picture: in semis, every step that looks boring on paper is usually a small victory over chaos in real life.
