Another tenant for the Snowflake storefront
Snowflake is doing the SaaS version of “if you build it, they will come” — and Matia just moved into the neighborhood. The unified data operations platform said it’s launching on Snowflake Marketplace, which means joint customers can more easily discover and deploy Matia’s ETL, reverse ETL, observability, and catalog tools right alongside their Snowflake AI Data Cloud setup.
Why this matters
This isn’t some random logo slide for the conference deck. Marketplace listings can make adoption smoother, and smoother adoption is catnip for enterprise software vendors because it lowers friction — the thing that usually kills deals faster than a bad demo.
For Snowflake, the bigger story is that its ecosystem keeps getting thicker:
- more third-party tools live inside the platform
- customers have fewer excuses to leave the Snowflake universe
- the AI Data Cloud pitch gets a little more “must-have” and a little less “nice-to-have”
The investor angle
Snowflake has been leaning hard into partnerships and marketplace expansion lately, and this fits the playbook. If the company can keep turning its platform into the place where data apps get discovered, bought, and used, that’s a sticky revenue story — the kind Wall Street tends to reward with a warmer hug.
Big picture: Snowflake isn’t just selling storage anymore. It’s trying to become the mall, the app store, and the parking lot all at once.
