FICO Score 10T gets a new home
FICO is shoving its score deeper into the mortgage machine. The company said FICO Score 10T is now integrated into Optimal Blue’s capital markets platform, giving lenders a way to price, decide, and operationalize loans across the mortgage lifecycle.
That’s a fancy way of saying: if you’re a lender, the score is becoming more baked into the workflow instead of sitting off to the side like an awkward guest at the office holiday party.
Why investors should care
This isn’t a blockbuster headline, but it is the kind of incremental distribution win that matters for a company like FICO.
- It expands where FICO’s score can be used in mortgage lending
- It can make the product stickier inside lender workflows
- It reinforces FICO’s role as a behind-the-scenes toll booth for credit decisions
The bigger picture
Mortgage volume may come and go like a toddler’s attention span, but software and data tools that become embedded in lender systems can be hard to dislodge. And that’s the moat investors usually want to see: not fireworks, just lots of tiny pipes feeding the machine.
Big picture: this is more about deepening FICO’s footprint than moving the revenue needle overnight, but in financial infrastructure, boring can be beautiful.
