Redwire says it’s been tapped by Luxembourg-based biotech startup Astrobiome Space to help pull off what it’s calling an inaugural space agriculture mission — and yes, that includes growing strawberries aboard the International Space Station. Somewhere, Elon Musk just nodded approvingly at the phrase “commercial space greenhouse.”
Why investors should care
This isn’t just a sci-fi headline with leafy greens. The contract gives Redwire another notch in its space infrastructure belt, while also showing that someone out there is willing to pay for experiments that could support regenerative agriculture beyond Earth.
