Cash, meet chemistry
Aduro Clean Technologies just finished its underwritten U.S. and Canadian public offering, raising about US$15.6 million before fees by selling 1,028,645 common shares at US$15.20 each. Not exactly a bake sale, but the same basic idea: the company needed money, and the market bought in.
Why you should care
If you own the stock, the good news is obvious: more cash gives Aduro room to keep pushing its tech that turns waste plastics, heavy bitumen, and renewable oils into higher-value resources. The less-fun part is also obvious: more shares in circulation can dilute existing holders.
The investor trade-off
This kind of deal is basically the corporate version of bringing an extra suitcase on a road trip — useful, but it does make the car a little more crowded.
- Gross proceeds: US$15.635 million
- Shares sold: 1,028,645 common shares
- Offer price: US$15.20 per share
Big picture: Aduro now has a bit more fuel for the journey, but investors will be watching whether this cash raise helps the company convert its chemistry-heavy story into actual commercial momentum.
