New toy for the ad machine
Pinterest’s tvScientific unit just unveiled Creative Advisor, a predictive AI tool built to help advertisers optimize connected TV creative continuously instead of setting it and forgetting it like an old slow cooker.
The pitch is pretty simple: the tool scans millions of creative elements and uses proprietary AI models trained on years of real-world CTV performance and outcome data. Translation: Pinterest wants to tell advertisers not just where to spend, but which creative actually works once the campaign is live.
Why investors should care
This is one of those “sounds nerdy, matters a lot” moves. Better ad tooling can make Pinterest stickier with marketers, which is handy when you're trying to prove you’re not just a cute place for recipes, weddings, and impossible living rooms.
If the platform can improve campaign outcomes, it could help support ad spend, pricing power, and eventually monetization. In ad land, better performance tools are basically catnip.
Big picture
Pinterest has been pushing deeper into AI-assisted advertising, and this looks like another brick in that wall. The company is trying to turn its audience intent into better commercial results — and if advertisers buy in, that’s a nice little win for the stock story.
