Deal? More like deal-off
Solana Company (HSDT) put a big nope on Forward Industries’ unsolicited, non-binding all-stock proposal to buy the company for $1.48 per share. The board says the offer doesn’t make the cut, and that’s the corporate equivalent of sliding a restaurant bill back across the table and saying, “We’re good.”
Why investors should care
A rejected bid can mean a few different things for your portfolio brain:
- the company thinks it’s worth more than the offer
- the bidder may come back with a sweeter deal
- or this turns into one of those annoying takeover sagas that drags on for weeks
Either way, takeover speculation tends to put a floor under the stock while everyone argues about what the company is actually worth. And since this was unsolicited and non-binding, there’s still a lot of room for this to turn into a soap opera.
The bigger picture
For HSDT holders, this is less “mission accomplished” and more “season finale cliffhanger.” If Forward wants in, it’ll likely need to sharpen its pencil and come back with something more persuasive.
Big picture: rejected bids don’t always kill a deal — sometimes they just start the bidding war everyone pretends they weren’t hoping for.
