VIAVI just picked up a shiny badge from PCI-SIG: Gold Suite acceptance for its Xgig platform’s PCIe 6.0 link and transaction protocol compliance testing. Translation: the company’s gear is now officially authorized for worldwide PCIe compliance testing, which is a fancy way of saying it can help the industry make sure next-gen hardware actually plays nice together.
Why that matters
PCIe is the highway inside your gadgets, moving data between chips at blistering speed. And when a new version shows up, everyone suddenly cares a lot more about whether the lanes are painted correctly and the traffic lights work. VIAVI’s approval gives it a stronger seat at that table.
