Pit stop, but for cybersecurity
Zscaler is teaming up with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team in a new multi-year partnership, giving the cybersecurity company a fresh way to show off its Zero Trust Exchange platform. In plain English: the team wants to keep its most valuable data — car design, race strategy, and the real-time information bouncing between the track and its UK-based AMRTC — out of the wrong hands.
Why this matters
Formula 1 is basically a rolling science project with a carbon-fiber body. Every lap produces a mountain of sensitive data, which makes it a very on-brand customer for a company that sells “trust nobody, verify everything” security. For Zscaler, that’s useful marketing fuel: if your software can help guard race-day secrets, it sounds a lot less abstract than yet another enterprise slide deck.
The investor angle
This isn’t a giant revenue number or a blockbuster contract reveal, so don’t expect a dramatic overnight rerate. But deals like this can still matter because they:
- boost brand visibility in a premium, globally watched sport
- reinforce the company’s core zero-trust narrative
- create a tidy proof point for selling into other data-sensitive industries
Big picture: partnerships like this are part business, part billboard. And in cybersecurity, being the brand that helps protect race strategy is a pretty slick billboard to have.
