Another finance chair shuffle
Hims & Hers Health said Chief Accounting Officer Irene Becklund will depart after more than seven years at the company, with the exit taking effect on October 9, 2026. After that, she’ll stick around as an advisor for a few months, which is corporate-speak for: “let’s not break anything on the way out.”
Why you should care
This isn’t the kind of headline that sends investors sprinting for the exits, but it does matter. Accounting leadership is one of those boring-but-essential corners of a public company, especially for a fast-growing healthcare platform where clean books and smooth reporting are the whole game.
The good news? Hims says CFO Yemi Okupe will assume the responsibilities while the company searches for a permanent successor. That keeps the transition internal, which usually helps calm nerves more than a surprise outside hire would.
The bigger picture
For HIMS, the market will probably care more about growth, margins, and subscriber trends than about a back-office job change. Still, when finance leadership changes, investors tend to squint a little harder at the next earnings call. Big picture: not a thesis-breaker, but definitely a “keep an eye on it” kind of move.
