Another shot for ENHANZE
Halozyme is back in partner-mode, this time teaming up with Incyte on INCA033989, a first-in-class monoclonal antibody aimed at mutCALR-expressing myeloproliferative neoplasms. The idea is pretty simple: take a drug that’s already in development and see whether Halozyme’s ENHANZE technology can make it a subcutaneous version that’s easier to administer.
Why investors should care
If this works, it’s the kind of behind-the-scenes biotech magic that can matter a lot more than it sounds. Subcutaneous delivery can mean more convenient dosing, better patient experience, and potentially broader commercial appeal — which is exactly the sort of thing a drug-delivery platform company like Halozyme wants to keep stacking up.
