Save the date, mortgage-REIT folks
Invesco Mortgage Capital is penciling in its second-quarter 2026 results for July 30 after market close, followed by a conference call on July 31 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern. Translation: the company is officially putting its cards on the table, and the market gets a fresh look at how the portfolio has been behaving.
Why you should care
For a mortgage REIT like IVR, the drama usually isn’t about flashy product launches or mega-acquisitions. It’s about the less glamorous stuff that moves the stock anyway: book value, leverage, spreads, and how the rate backdrop is treating the portfolio.
If the quarter looks sturdier than feared, the stock could get a little breathing room. If not, well, mortgage REIT investors know this movie — and it usually comes with a lot of squinting at interest-rate charts.
Big picture
This is a straightforward earnings-schedule announcement, but it still matters because the actual report can reprice expectations fast. In other words: mark the calendar now, because the real action starts when the numbers hit.
