Takeover tea, then a hard pass
Forward Industries, a Solana-focused digital asset treasury company, said it will no longer pursue Brera Holdings. Translation: the courtship is over before the flowers even made it to the lobby.
Why you should care
For Brera shareholders, this is the kind of news that can yank the takeover floor out from under a stock. If a deal premium was part of the bull case, that air pocket just got bigger.
Forward’s decision comes after Brera rejected its proposal, so this wasn’t exactly a mutual rom-com. It was more like: one side brought a ring, the other side said no thanks, and now everyone’s pretending this was always just a casual conversation.
Big picture
Deal rumors can move small-cap names fast, but when the buyer steps away, the stock has to stand on its own two feet again. That usually means less M&A sparkle and more old-fashioned business basics.
