AMD is back with another partnership-style flex. This time, Vultr — a big private cloud infrastructure player — says it will be among the first providers to offer AMD’s new Instinct MI455X GPU and support for the AMD Helios rackscale solution.
That means customers can pre-order access to high-memory, rackscale-accelerated compute in Q4 for workloads like training, inference, fine-tuning, agentic AI, and HPC. In plain English: AMD is trying to make it easier for cloud buyers to say, “Sure, give me the whole AI buffet, not just the fries.”
Why investors should care
Every new cloud partner is another proof point that AMD’s AI story is getting more real, more visible, and more commercially packaged. The market has spent plenty of time obsessing over Nvidia’s dominance; AMD’s answer is basically: if we can’t own the whole conversation yet, we’ll own more of the shopping cart.
