Nvidia isn't just selling chips anymore — it's helping bankroll the AI boom. The company plans to invest about $1 billion in NAVER Corp, and the deal folds neatly into a bigger South Korea infrastructure push centered on AI datacenters.
What’s actually changing?
NAVER said Nvidia will buy 7.2 million newly issued shares at 204,500 won apiece, which works out to roughly $139.45 a share. That's a tiny discount to NAVER's Friday close, but the bigger story is the strategic one: Nvidia will now show up as the GPU supplier for the datacenter, not a revenue-sharing partner taking on business risk.
