Rigetti is expanding its collaboration with HPE and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center to build a new hybrid quantum-classical supercomputer testbed. The star of the show is a 9-qubit Novera quantum computing system, which Rigetti will deliver into the setup.

It’s more like: here’s a concrete testbed, here’s an NSF-funded project, and here’s a major computing ecosystem getting comfortable enough to plug quantum hardware into the mix. That matters because partnerships like this can help Rigetti prove its tech in the real world instead of just in pitch decks.

For a company like Rigetti, every deployment is part science project, part credibility builder.
