New partner, same old log headache
Datadog is partnering with Cloudaware to bring Cloudaware LogSight into the Datadog Marketplace. The pitch is simple: help customers figure out whether every cloud service is actually sending logs to Datadog. Which, in cloud-land, is apparently a bigger mess than your streaming subscriptions.
Why this matters
Cloud logs are famously fragmented. Some land in S3, some go elsewhere, and teams often end up playing detective just to answer a basic question: what's missing? This partnership is designed to close those gaps and make Datadog’s observability stack a little more complete.
Investor angle
This is not a giant revenue bombshell. But it does matter because marketplace partnerships can:
- deepen Datadog’s ecosystem
- make the platform stickier for enterprise customers
- create a nicer on-ramp for add-on usage over time
Big picture: deals like this are how Datadog keeps turning itself from a monitoring tool into the kind of platform people build around — and then grumble about replacing.
