New club, same AI anxiety
Zscaler is now a Vanguard Member of the CSAI Foundation, which sounds a little like the name of a premium credit card but is actually an industry group focused on helping companies build and run secure AI systems. In plain English: as AI gets wired deeper into corporate workflows, the security bill keeps getting more interesting.
Why this matters
This isn’t a huge revenue announcement or a flashy product launch. But it does tell you where the market is leaning: toward AI governance, risk management, and guardrails. That’s catnip for cybersecurity vendors, because every new AI use case tends to come with a fresh set of “please don’t leak the crown jewels” concerns.
The investor angle
For Zscaler, the move helps keep the company in the conversation around AI security — the kind of positioning that can matter when buyers are deciding who gets budget and who gets sidelined. And since Qualys and Rubrik are also joining the foundation, the whole thing reads like a mini summit of security companies trying to shape the rules before AI gets too wild.
Big picture: if AI is the new office intern with admin access, security vendors want to be the ones holding the keys.
