New delivery lane unlocked
Serve Robotics is widening the map again, this time through a partnership with Wonder’s Grubhub marketplace. The robots are headed to Chicago, Los Angeles, and Alexandria, giving Serve a fresh batch of streets to cruise and merchants to serve.
Why this matters for the stock
This is the kind of news investors like because it’s not just a headline — it’s utilization. Serve said the program will launch with more than 100 participating Grubhub merchants in Chicago and nearly 200 in Los Angeles, which means more orders flowing through the fleet and more chances to turn sidewalk robots into actual revenue machines.
More than just a cute robot story
Serve also framed this as part of a broader platform push, with new expansion into San Jose and Washington, DC, a micro-depot in Miami, a hardware product for merchants, and a new advertising service. Translation: the company isn’t just trying to be the little robot that could — it’s trying to build a whole delivery ecosystem.
Big picture: robot delivery still has plenty of “cool demo” energy, but partnerships like this are how it starts to look like a real business instead of a tech conference sideshow.
