Another day, another NASA stamp of approval
Intuitive Machines is back with fresh space bragging rights. The company said NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory selected it to provide the spacecraft platform, system-level integration, and mission solutions for EAGLE-VSWIR, an Earth science mission.
That’s a mouthful, sure — but in plain English, it means NASA is trusting LUNR to help build the ride and the plumbing for a real mission, not just some PowerPoint astronaut cosplay.
Why investors should care
This matters because contracts like this can do a few things at once:
- add to backlog and revenue visibility
- reinforce Intuitive Machines’ credibility with NASA
- help the company show it can win beyond lunar headlines
The mission is slated to fly on Intuitive Machines’ IM 300 spacecraft bus and is targeted for launch in 2028, so this is more of a long-tailed value-builder than a near-term revenue pop.
The big picture
For LUNR, the story keeps looking less like a one-hit moonshot and more like a business trying to turn government spacework into a repeatable engine. Big picture: if NASA keeps coming back, Wall Street usually keeps paying attention.
