Another Form 4, another little eyebrow raise
Reddit’s Chief Legal Officer showed up in a fresh Form 4 filing with a disposition of 3,887 shares withheld for tax obligations at $151.71 a pop. That works out to roughly $590,000 — not exactly yacht money, but definitely enough to make shareholders glance up from their coffee.
Why investors care
Insider filings can be boring right up until they’re not. On their own, tax-related share withholdings are pretty routine, and this one doesn’t scream panic. But Reddit is still working through an AI-related legal battle, so any insider stock move gets a little extra spotlight.
The fine print, minus the headache
- The shares were withheld to cover taxes, which often happens automatically around compensation events.
- The transaction value came out to about $590,000 at $151.71 per share.
- This is more “paperwork with a price tag” than “the ship is sinking.”
Big picture: one insider disposition doesn’t rewrite the Reddit story. But in a stock that’s still earning its stripes as a public company, even small Form 4s can feel like someone turning the volume knob a notch higher.
