New boss, same protein shake
Herbalife is hitting the reset button on its top job. The company said Stephan Gratziani will transition out of the CEO role effective October 31, 2026, and John DeSimone will take over as interim CEO.
That’s not exactly a vibe you want when everything is perfectly calm. CEO changes often bring a mix of hope and awkwardness: maybe the new setup sharpens execution, maybe it also means the board wants a different pace or playbook.
What changes for you?
Gratziani isn’t disappearing entirely. He’ll stay on as a consultant focused on strategy and business development, which is corporate-speak for: don’t worry, we’re not yeeting him into the sun just yet.
For shareholders, the big question is whether this is a tidy handoff or the first sign of a bigger pivot. Interim CEO moves can be a bridge to stability — or a neon sign that the company is still searching for the right long-term formula.
Big picture
Herbalife’s business is all about trust, distribution, and momentum. A leadership transition won’t change the product mix overnight, but it can absolutely change how the market feels about the story.
