New aisle, who dis?
Target is giving its supplement game a little makeover. Momentous says its products are now live in nearly 600 Target stores across the U.S. and on Target.com, with exclusive end-cap displays doing the retail equivalent of waving a neon sign at shoppers.
Why investors should care
This isn’t some earth-shaking deal that moves a quarter by itself. But it does hint at the kind of assortment upgrades Target likes to use when it’s trying to look a little more premium and a little less like “just another place to buy paper towels.” More wellness and performance products can mean better basket sizes and more reasons for shoppers to wander in for one thing and leave with eight.
The rollout playbook
According to the announcement:
- select Momentous products are already in nearly 600 Target locations
- they’re also available online at Target.com
- a full expansion into all Target stores is slated for October
That staggered rollout is classic retail: test the vibe, watch the sell-through, then hit the gas if customers don’t collectively yawn.
Big picture
For Target, partnerships like this are less about one supplement brand and more about sharpening the store’s “health and wellness” halo. If shoppers start treating Target like a mini wellness destination instead of a pure bargain run, that can be good news for traffic, mix, and margin. Big picture: Target is still trying to prove its turnaround has legs, and cleaner, trendier shelves are part of the script.
