Another app, another reason to click around
Oracle just got a fresh tenant on its Marketplace: Asure Software’s Asure Tax is now available there and can plug into Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management. In plain English, Oracle is letting a partner sell something that makes its own cloud stack more useful. Classic platform move.
Why this matters
For Oracle, this is the SaaS equivalent of letting cool local restaurants set up inside your food hall. You don’t have to cook every dish yourself; you just make the place where customers keep coming back.
That can matter for a few reasons:
- it makes Fusion Cloud HCM more attractive to customers who want payroll and tax tools to play nicely together
- it gives Oracle another way to deepen partner relationships
- it can add small but meaningful revenue and retention benefits over time if customers keep stacking Oracle-adjacent products
The investor angle
This isn’t a giant needle-mover by itself. Nobody is going to wake up tomorrow and trade Oracle on one marketplace listing. But it does reinforce the broader Oracle story: build the cloud, then turn it into a sticky ecosystem where partners do some of the heavy lifting.
Big picture: when your platform becomes the default shopping mall for enterprise software, even “just a listing” can be part of the moat.
