The Bitcoin binge is back
Strategy is back doing what Strategy does: turning balance-sheet gymnastics into more Bitcoin. The company said it bought $370 million worth of BTC in its first purchase since June, a fresh signal that Michael Saylor’s favorite hobby is still very much alive.
Same playbook, new receipt
This wasn’t just a one-note BTC shopping trip either. Strategy also repurchased $155.8 million of its STRC preferred stock, which is the kind of move that says, in corporate-English: “We’re still managing the capital stack, don’t worry.”
For investors, the important bit is simple:
- More Bitcoin on the books means more upside if BTC rips
- It also means more exposure if crypto gets wobbly
- And every buyback/financing move hints at how aggressively Strategy is leaning into the trade
Why the stock cares
Strategy has basically become a public-market proxy for Bitcoin with a side of financial engineering. So when the company starts buying again after a pause since June, traders tend to perk up like someone just announced a surprise sequel.
Big picture: if you own MSTR, you’re not just betting on one company. You’re betting on Bitcoin, leverage, and Michael Saylor’s eternal conviction that the answer to every market problem is, somehow, more BTC.
