Adobe is turning Saudi Arabia into a giant demo room
Adobe, along with Saudi Arabia’s MCIT and HUMAIN, is widening a partnership that gives millions of citizens and residents free access to AI-powered creative tools. The headline number is eye-catching: more than $4 billion in access value, which sounds less like a software promo and more like the world’s fanciest free trial.
Why investors should care
On one hand, free access doesn’t exactly scream immediate revenue. On the other hand, Adobe is clearly playing the long game: get the tools in people’s hands, make them sticky, and hope the ecosystem turns into actual paying demand later.
The bigger picture
For Adobe, this is part brand builder, part market expansion, part “let’s make sure everybody knows our AI stack is the one they’re using.” If the company can convert this kind of broad access into deeper usage and enterprise pull-through, that could be more valuable than a one-off sales bump.
Big picture: sometimes the smartest software move is to be everywhere first and figure out the monetization math later.
