Another agent joins the party
Microsoft keeps turning Copilot into the AI version of an app store. This time, Euromonitor International says it’s launching the Euromonitor Passport agent inside Microsoft 365 Copilot — its first agentic integration into a third-party AI platform.
Why that matters
Instead of bouncing between tabs like you’re doing digital parkour, users can ask questions in natural language and get market intelligence from Euromonitor’s Passport database without leaving Microsoft’s ecosystem. That’s exactly the kind of sticky, workflow-friendly feature that makes Copilot more useful — and harder to ignore.
The investor angle
The deal isn’t a headline-grabbing acquisition or a giant revenue number, but it does fit Microsoft’s broader playbook:
- make Copilot the default work companion
- add more third-party agents and integrations
- keep users inside Microsoft’s moat for longer
For Microsoft, the win is less about one single partnership and more about the accumulation of little ecosystem wins. Those tiny hooks add up. And in AI land, that can be the difference between “cool demo” and “daily habit.”
Big picture: Microsoft doesn’t just want Copilot to answer questions. It wants Copilot to be where the questions happen.
