The AI treadmill keeps moving
Broadcom is again reminding Wall Street that its custom AI silicon business is not some side quest. The company says it can put 30GW and about $350 billion of custom AI silicon opportunity on the calendar through fiscal 2028, which is a very Broadcom way of saying: the pipeline is still huge, and it stretches way out.
Why investors are paying attention
That kind of long-dated visibility matters because AI hardware stocks live and die by one question: is this a real buildout or just hype with a nicer font? Broadcom is arguing the former. If the demand is durable through 2028, then the market may need to keep pricing in a much longer growth story instead of treating every rally like a sugar rush.
The catch
Of course, a giant addressable market is not the same thing as booked revenue tomorrow. You still have to design the chips, ship them, and keep customers spending like they forgot what recessions are. But for AVGO holders, the headline is simple: the AI engine is still humming, and the road ahead just got longer.
Big picture: Broadcom keeps turning custom AI silicon into a full-blown franchise, and that’s the kind of visibility investors tend to reward.
