Demand is not the problem
CoreWeave’s CEO basically said the company has more appetite than it can plate. Translation: customers want the AI compute, but the Nvidia chips that power the buffet are the bottleneck.
That matters because CoreWeave’s whole pitch is built on being the fast lane for AI infrastructure. If the company can’t get enough chips in place, it can’t turn that demand into servers, and it can’t turn servers into revenue as quickly as investors would like.
Why you should care
This is the kind of problem bulls secretly hate: it’s not a lack-of-demand issue, it’s a supply choke point. And in AI land, supply constraints can mean:
- slower near-term growth
- delayed capacity ramp-ups
- more pressure on margins if the company scrambles for workarounds
Big picture
CoreWeave is still riding the AI wave, but waves only help if you’ve got the boards. Right now, Nvidia chips are the missing boards.
