Another buyout, but with a data-center twist
Blackstone is back on the shopping spree, and this one has a very 2026 flavor: liquid cooling. Its private equity funds agreed to acquire Flow Control Holdings, a U.S. company that makes liquid cooling components used in data centers, plus food, beverage, and pharmaceutical markets.
Why should you care?
This isn’t just Blackstone doing Blackstone things. The deal plugs the firm even deeper into the infrastructure stack behind AI and cloud demand, where heat management has gone from nerdy afterthought to very real bottleneck. If data centers are the race cars, cooling is the pit crew that keeps them from bursting into flames.
The fine print is still hiding under the table
The companies didn’t disclose terms, so there’s no neat headline number to anchor the deal around. But the strategic message is pretty clear: Blackstone still likes real assets and industrial plumbing that ride the wave of digital infrastructure growth.
Big picture: when the money manager starts buying the picks and shovels for data-center growth, it usually means the theme has legs.
