Another day, another insider sale
La-Z-Boy says Director Janet Kerr sold 3,653 shares, worth roughly $116,000 based on the weighted average execution price. That’s the kind of transaction that makes investors perk up — not because it’s automatically bad news, but because insider trades can sometimes hint at how the people closest to the business are feeling.
Should you care?
One director sale doesn’t mean the couch is on fire. Insiders sell for all sorts of reasons: taxes, portfolio rebalancing, or just because they’d like to own fewer shares of one company and more of literally anything else.
What matters is the bigger pattern. If multiple insiders start heading for the exit around the same time, that’s when investors usually pay closer attention.
Big picture
For now, this looks like a routine insider transaction, not a full-blown warning flare. But if you own LZB, it’s still worth keeping an eye on whether this is a one-off or the start of a trend.
