Wall Street just took Roblox seriously
Roblox shares ripped higher Monday after a trio of analysts decided the game platform deserves a bigger number on the board. BofA Securities lifted its price target to $48 from $44, Wedbush moved its target to $48 from $40, and Wells Fargo went even bolder with a $64 target.
The mood shift is pretty simple: analysts are seeing more upside in Roblox’s ability to keep new games bubbling up like the next viral TikTok trend, rather than just a place for kids to hang out in digital worlds. BofA’s Omar Dessouky said the odds of a breakout hit look better now, while still keeping a Neutral rating because competition — including GTA VI — is still lurking in the background.
The good news comes with a catch
Wedbush’s Alicia Reese liked the company’s developer conference and the push for safer, more global-friendly features, but she’s still waiting for proof that all this engagement turns into real money. That’s the classic “cool product, show me the receipts” Wall Street vibe.
What matters for investors is that Roblox is trying to juggle three things at once:
- keep developers building on the platform
- make games easier to discover and play
- convert all that activity into bookings and cash flow
Bigger target, bigger expectations
The stock was up 11.74% to $50.84 at the time of publication, so the market clearly likes the idea that Roblox can keep growing without tripping over its own monetization shoelaces. Big picture: analysts are getting more constructive, but the real test is whether Roblox can turn viral hits into durable dollars, not just headlines.
