Zoom’s latest identity crisis, but make it AI
Zoom is back with a fresh label: an AI-powered revenue OS designed to unify buyer intelligence, customer conversations, and revenue execution. Translation: the company wants to stitch together more of the sales workflow, not just host the call where everyone says, “Can you hear me now?”
Why investors should care
If this works, Zoom could look less like a one-trick communications tool and more like a bigger software platform sitting inside revenue teams’ day-to-day process. That’s the kind of move investors usually love because it can mean stickier customers, more upsell potential, and a reason to pay up for something beyond basic video conferencing.
The catch
The buzzword count is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, so the real question is adoption. Companies already have plenty of software clutter on their desks, and Zoom has to prove this revenue OS is actually useful enough to become part of the stack instead of another shiny tab everyone ignores.
Big picture: Zoom is trying to graduate from “the app you open for meetings” to “the system that helps run the sale.” That’s a much bigger ambition — and a much bigger investor story.
