Seoul gets the quantum spotlight
D-Wave Quantum is packing its bags for Seoul. The company said it will host Qubits Asia 2026: Quantum Realized on October 28, 2026, a full-day user conference aimed at the fast-growing APAC quantum crowd.
If that sounds a little like a tech company throwing its own mini Coachella, well, that’s not totally wrong. These events are part customer meetup, part sales pitch, part “please remember we exist and we’re not just vibes in a lab coat.”
Why investors should care
This isn’t a revenue-bearing contract or a new chip launch. But it does matter because D-Wave is trying to:
- build mindshare in Asia-Pacific
- deepen relationships with users and prospects
- keep the company front-and-center in the quantum-computing narrative
For a name like QBTS, which still trades a lot on future potential, visibility can be currency. Conferences don’t move the needle like earnings do, but they can help keep the funnel warm and the story alive.
The bigger picture
Quantum computing is still in its “everyone’s talking, few are buying” phase. So when D-Wave plants a flag in Seoul, it’s basically saying: the global land grab is on, and APAC is worth the trip.
Big picture: no fireworks here, but it’s another reminder that D-Wave is still hustling for customers, attention, and a seat at the quantum table.
