A little space diplomacy
Sidus Space is putting on its global-collab hat. The company said it signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with 3GM Plus, a Slovenian firm, to collaborate on satellite manufacturing, technology licensing, and building out a domestic small-satellite capability in Slovenia.
Why this matters
This isn’t a signed revenue contract yet — it’s an MOU, which is corporate-speak for “let’s see if this becomes a real thing.” But it does tell you where Sidus wants to play: beyond just building hardware, it’s trying to be a partner in tech transfer and local ecosystem development.
For investors, that can matter in two ways:
- It may open the door to international sales and services if the relationship deepens.
- It signals Sidus is leaning into the “we help you build the capability” model, not just the “buy our stuff” model.
The fine print, because of course there is fine print
The deal is non-binding, so nobody should start pricing in a blockbuster just yet. But these kinds of partnerships can be the first breadcrumb on the trail to future manufacturing, licensing, or integration work.
Big picture: Sidus is still very much in the proving-it phase, but this MOU gives the company a new international story to tell — and in small-cap land, a fresh story can be half the battle.
