New deal, same theme
Digital Realty is back with another partnership, and this one is all about making private infrastructure easier to package and sell. The company said AXG will tap Digital Realty's PlatformDigital® data center network to help GSIs and MSPs offer hosted private infrastructure-as-a-service in more than 30 countries.
Why you should care
This isn't just corporate alphabet soup. It points to a bigger strategy: Digital Realty wants to be the place where enterprise AI, private cloud, and edge workloads get hosted when companies want control, speed, and a little less chaos than the public cloud circus.
The pitch is pretty simple:
- GSIs and MSPs get a ready-made infrastructure model
- Customers get dedicated private AI and cloud environments
- Digital Realty gets more reasons for enterprises to stay inside its ecosystem
The bigger play
For DLR, partnerships like this are the real business model flex. Instead of selling one giant cloud dream, it’s building a stack of smaller, sticky revenue streams across data centers, connectivity, and managed infrastructure.
Big picture: in the AI era, the winners aren’t always the loudest names on stage. Sometimes they’re the companies quietly selling the stage, the lights, and the extension cords.
