Costco, but make it doorstep-friendly
Costco is rolling out nationwide delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats, which is basically the warehouse club version of saying, “Sure, you can keep buying in bulk — now you don’t have to haul the giant pack of paper towels yourself.”
Why this matters
This kind of move is less about flashy headline magic and more about removing friction. If Costco can make shopping easier for members, it could boost order frequency and keep customers inside its ecosystem instead of wandering off to other grocery and delivery apps.
The investor angle
For shareholders, the key question is whether this becomes a genuine growth lever or just a convenience add-on. Either way, Costco is leaning into the one thing consumers never seem to get enough of: less effort.
Big picture: Costco keeps proving that even a warehouse built on giant carts and oversized snacks can still play the modern delivery game.
