Mission accomplished, now the handoff
Intuitive Machines says it has completed in-orbit commissioning for SXM-11 and delivered the satellite to the customer. Translation: the spacecraft made it through the post-launch babysitting phase and is now officially out of the company’s hands.
Why investors care
This is the sort of update space investors love because it’s not just hype and rocket gifs — it’s evidence the company can execute on a real mission. In a business where delays and do-overs are basically part of the furniture, a clean commissioning-to-delivery flow is a welcome sign.
The bigger picture
For LUNR, every successful mission is another data point that its space systems business can operate with fewer potholes. That won’t magically solve every valuation question, but it does give bulls a fresh reason to point at operational progress instead of just the launch countdown clock.
Big picture: in space, getting the hardware there is only half the battle. Getting it delivered intact is the part that keeps the lights on.
