Agentforce is getting real money attached to it
Salesforce spent Dreamforce and Investor Day trying to prove it’s not just sprinkling "AI" on the slide deck like confetti. BNP Paribas came away more optimistic, saying customer activity is picking up and that could help revenue growth reaccelerate in the third quarter.
The big story here isn’t just that Salesforce has an AI product. It’s that it’s trying to sell it in a bunch of different ways — per-seat subscriptions, usage-based pricing, hybrid pricing, and even outcome-based pricing. That’s the corporate version of offering you six different streaming plans until one finally sticks.
The sticky part: upgrades and renewals
The clearest near-term lever, according to BNP, is the AIforce Max+ tier at $550 per user per month. Only about 5% of customers have upgraded so far, which sounds tiny, but management apparently thinks the sales team can push that number higher without needing a miracle.
And there’s some proof the monetization flywheel is spinning. One customer renewal reportedly jumped from roughly $3 million-$5 million to $14 million after a broader Agentforce deployment. That’s the kind of math Wall Street notices fast.
Buybacks keep the floor under the stock
This wasn’t just an AI story. BNP also pointed to Salesforce’s $25 billion accelerated share repurchase program, which management expects to finish at an average price of about $182 per share. That would cut the share count by more than 14% and help juice returns if the business keeps cooperating.
Big picture: Salesforce is trying to convince investors that AI won’t just be a buzzword parade — it can be a real revenue engine, a renewal booster, and a buyback-backed stock story all at once.
