Another analyst just joined the Alphabet bull parade
Alphabet is catching a Friday bid after Tigress Financial Partners raised its price target to $485 from $415 and kept its Strong Buy rating in place. The pitch? Alphabet isn’t just in the AI race — it’s got a pretty loud head start across Search, Cloud, YouTube, Gemini, and its custom TPU chips.
Why Wall Street suddenly wants more Alphabet
Analyst Ivan Feinseth argued that Alphabet’s latest quarterly results showed the company doing what big tech loves to do best: turn giant spending into even bigger future bragging rights. Search ads are still humming, cloud growth is accelerating, and margins are widening, which is a fancy way of saying the business still has plenty of gasoline in the tank.
He also pointed to AI-powered products as fresh revenue lanes beyond the classic ad machine. That’s the investor catnip here: if Alphabet can keep monetizing AI without blowing up profitability, the stock story gets a lot more interesting.
The catch? AI isn't free
Feinseth did flag the obvious tradeoff: all that AI infrastructure spending is pressuring near-term returns on capital. But his argument is basically, “yes, this is expensive — but it’s the kind of expensive that might pay off later.”
- Tigress target: $485
- Prior target: $415
- Street average target: $436.25
- Stock move: up 2.17% at the time of publication
Big picture: Alphabet keeps getting treated like the adult in the room for AI — profitable, diversified, and still spending like it has something to prove.
