A director hits the sell button
Tenet Healthcare got a little insider-trading footnote: director Nadja West sold 1,152 shares at $258.80 each, for a total haul of about $298,000.
That’s not exactly “boardroom panic” territory. But insider sales still get investor eyeballs because they can hint at anything from simple portfolio rebalancing to a not-so-subtle belief that the stock has already done a lot of the heavy lifting.
What to make of it
A few things to keep in mind:
- One insider sale rarely tells the whole story
- The size is modest relative to a big public company
- Investors usually care more when selling becomes a pattern, not a one-off
Big picture
For THC holders, this is more of a yellow sticky note than a red siren. Still, when a director sells into a strong share price, it can make you wonder whether the easy upside is already baked in.
