Inflation is the new bogeyman
Citi Wealth’s latest survey says inflation has climbed back to the top of family offices’ worry list in 2026, pushing tariffs out of the spotlight. In other words: the rich are worried about prices, but they’re not ready to stage a full-on bunker retreat.
More stocks, less sleepy stuff
Even with those inflation jitters, these ultra-wealthy investors are still doing what they often do when they want growth: reaching for stocks and private equity. At the same time, they’re making selective cuts to holdings that could get squeezed by inflation, especially fixed income.
Why investors should care
Family offices are often a decent read on where big pools of capital are headed next. If they’re rotating away from bonds and toward risk assets, that can be a quiet vote of confidence for markets that still want to climb the wall of worry.
Big picture: inflation may be the headline villain, but it’s not stopping wealthy investors from keeping one foot on the gas.
