Wall Street just threw Nebius a little confetti
Nebius Group stock got a nice Thursday pop after BNP Paribas upgraded the name to Outperform from Neutral and cranked its price target to $399 from $260. That’s not exactly pocket change — it’s Wall Street saying, “Hey, this AI cloud story might still have legs.”
The real engine: pricing power
The upgrade wasn’t the only thing juicing the shares. Reports also said Nebius is planning another GPU cloud price increase, with some NVIDIA-based services set to rise around 20% starting Oct. 1. Translation: demand for high-end AI compute is still tight enough that Nebius can charge more, not less. That’s the kind of pricing power investors love because it usually means revenue can grow without the company needing to race to the bottom like a discount airline.
Why this matters for your portfolio
Nebius has already been a monster over the past year, up more than 122%, while peers like CoreWeave and IREN have had a rougher ride. The company’s pitch is pretty simple: build capacity, ride the AI infrastructure wave, and squeeze more dollars out of every GPU hour you can sell.
- BNP Paribas says the setup looks better
- Nebius is reportedly planning a second price hike
- NVIDIA remains the key back-end muscle behind the business
Big picture: Nebius is looking less like a speculative AI side quest and more like a company with actual leverage in a very expensive, very crowded race for compute.
